There are 3 main types of stunt scooter deck on the market today which range in price, colour, size and materials used in the construction of the deck. It all comes down to personal preference when it comes to the length and width of the deck as well as the headtube angle as these all have an effect on how the deck feels to ride.
The standard deck is most commonly found on the beginner level stunt scooters, this type of deck will require a standard headset and the headset cups will need to be pressed in to the neck of the deck.
The semi-integrated decks are to be found on only a handful of scooters and this type of deck will need a special semi-integrated headset. The headset still uses headset cups but these are smaller than the standard headset and will be concealed inside the headtube of the deck.
The fully-integrated deck can be found on most intermediate level stunt scooters and above. This type of deck is perhaps the most popular amongst scooter riders as it is easier to maintain and look after the headset as the headtube of the deck is designed so that the bearings can just push right in without the need for headset cups.
